The clinic will provide robust behavioral health services and wrap-around services to open in 2023.
Lewiston, ID. November 2, 2022 – CHAS Health is in the development phases to bring the first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), a specially-designated clinic that provides a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use services, to the Lewis-Clark Valley. Scheduled to open in Spring 2023, the CHAS Behavioral Health Center – Lewiston will include patients in the design and delivery of behavioral health services while also providing wrap-around care, regardless of insurance status.
Funded through a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the CHAS Behavioral Health Center – Lewiston will be the third CHAS Health clinic location in the Lewis-Clark Valley, joining a medical clinic in Lewiston and dental clinic in Clarkston.
“The CHAS Behavioral Health Center – Lewiston will help fill a need in the community,” said Aaron Wilson, CEO of CHAS Health. “By providing specialized care for behavioral health conditions as well as care coordination, peer support services, targeted case management, and other collaborative care, we will be helping meet the behavioral health needs of community members with significant mental health and substance use diagnoses.”
CHAS Health is actively hiring staff for CHAS Behavioral Health Center – Lewiston and working with community partners to determine community needs as well as space to house the clinic.
