It’s time to make sure you’re registered to vote. Here’s what you need to know to get started.

 What’s on the Ballot?

In the upcoming general election, you’ll be voting for local leaders who shape your community. Depending on where you live, this may include candidates for:

  • City council
  • Mayor
  • School districts
  • Fire districts
  • And other local offices

Registering to vote is the first step in making your voice heard. Local elections determine who will lead our communities, neighborhoods, and schools for years to come. When you register to vote, you have a say in your community’s future.

 How to Register

If You Live in Washington

Registering to vote online is quick and easy. You can verify or update your voter registration and learn what’s on your ballot by visiting:

 Voter.VoteWA.gov

If you prefer to register by mail or in person:

  • Complete a Washington Voter Registration Form
  • Mail or deliver it to your county elections office
  • County addresses can be found on the form
  • You can also request a form by mail if needed

If You Live in Idaho

Idaho voters must provide proof of identification and proof of residence when registering to vote.

If you do not have valid identification, you may:

  • Request a FREE voter ID card, or
  • Sign a Personal Identification Affidavit
