Behavioral Health

We believe in caring for the whole person – mind and body. Our Integrated Behavioral Health program gives established patients with acute or chronic behavioral health concerns access to counseling, medication management, and treatment consultation within the same walls of our primary care clinics.

On-Site Providers

Through the Integrated Behavioral Health model of care, your CHAS Health primary care provider can introduce you to on-site behavioral health providers and psychiatric consultants to discuss your current situation. Our behavioral health providers can help you start a short-term care plan or coordinate more intensive services with other community mental health providers. We are your healthcare home!

We Provide Treatment For:

CHAS Behavioral Health Centers

Serving Spokane and Lewiston Communities

CHAS Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CBHCs) are specially designated to provide a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use services. CBHCs serve anyone who walks through the door, regardless of their diagnosis and insurance status.

CBHC services include:

  • Outpatient mental health and substance use services
  • Person- and family-centered treatment planning
  • Community-based mental health services, including peer support
  • Targeted care management
  • Connection and coordination with primary care
  • Screening, diagnosis, and risk assessment

Same-Day Access

You can walk into either of our CHAS Behavioral Health Clinics (CBHC) locations in CBHC-North Spokane and CBHC-Lewiston for behavioral health and substance use counseling assessments—no scheduling needed. Same-day access is designed to make it easier for you to get the care you need when you need it.

Benefits of same-day assessments include:

  • Immediate support—no waiting weeks to start counseling, just walk in during our designated hours
  • Personalized care—our team will listen to your needs, help you complete an intake, and work with you to create a follow-up plan before you leave
  • Flexible scheduling—if you need ongoing services, we’ll help you schedule your next steps right away
  • No delays—No referral is needed to engage in a same day assessment

Same Day Access supports engagement and connection to services but does not provide initiation of medical management, prescribing, or withdrawal management, including alcohol. Abruptly withdrawing from alcohol can be dangerous. To engage in those services, please contact your primary care provider.
