Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of counseling that helps people learn new ways to handle their thoughts and feelings. It teaches simple skills like staying calm, paying attention, and solving problems.

This group will use ACT activities to help you build social and emotional skills. Each session will focus on one of six important skills:

  • Acceptance
  • Letting to of unhelpful thoughts
  • Paying attention to the present moment
  • Understanding yourself
  • Knowing what matters to you
  • Taking positive action

These skills can help you feel stronger, handle challenges, and manage your emotions and behavior in healthy ways.
