More to Know
Nathan Sim is a physician assistant (PA) at Chas Health. He started his healthcare career as a computed tomography (CT) technologist, at which time he developed a keen sense of commitment to serving others. This commitment started a long road to becoming a PA beginning at Eastern Washington University for a Bachelor of Science in Biology and, finally, at the University of Washington MEDEX program for a Master of Science in Community Health Service. The MEDEX program is an intensive didactic training in Basic and Clinical Sciences and hands-on clinical training in multiple local clinics and hospitals with an emphasis on community health or primary care. In the clinics, he developed the skills needed to treat pediatric patients and adults with chronic illnesses. Nathan has a long history of voluntary community service at the Union Gospel Mission, local hospitals, and nursing homes had intensified his commitment.
Nathan is married with two children, and he cannot wait to teach them how to fish. He is from the Philippines and migrated to the States with his family at a young age. Since his arrival, he has always shown compassion to anyone he meets, and he always sees the best in everyone.
