Mirenna Scott, certified nurse midwife
Title: Certified Nurse Midwife

More to Know

Fascinated by the body’s innate capacity to birth and the pivotal moment birth holds for a growing family, Mirenna knew she was called to midwifery after a course in Copenhagen, Denmark on Pregnancy, Birth, and Infancy. Mirenna (she/her) grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Pomona College for her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science with a minor in Art. There, she researched child development and delved deep into the early regulating effects of positive parental touch for a child. She completed her nurse-midwifery training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and found a growing passion for the body’s innate capacities and the opportunity to support patient autonomy and informed choice. Today her practice is rooted in trusting the body’s ability to birth and relationship building between healthcare provider and patient. She particularly enjoys holistic pregnancy care, offering contraceptive counseling and family planning, sexual health care, and care for LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

Away from work, Mirenna enjoys pottery and crafting, running, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
