CHAS Health App
The CHAS Health Application, or App, is an easy way to connect with us for many of your healthcare needs. With the CHAS Health app you can:
- Schedule an appointment online
- Launch the video visit your provider scheduled
- View past and future appointments
- Complete tasks and paperwork prior to your visit
- Connect to the CHAS electronic medical record portal powered by Athena (coming soon)
An email address is required. CHAS Health will send a welcome email with a username, password and instructions for downloading the app.
You’ve Scheduled A Video Visit – Now What?
What You'll Need
Mobile Number or Email Address
You will use your mobile number or email address to receive an invitation to get ready for your visit. This must be the same mobile number and email address CHAS Health has on file.
Android, iPhone, iPad, or Computer with Camera & Microphone
You can connect to a Video Visit on your Android or Apple device. You can also use a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone, and the Google Chrome browser installed. To access the Video Visit from a computer, click the link in your invitation email.
- Android: Android devices must have an operating system version of 10.0 or higher, and Google Chrome must be set as the device’s default browser.
- Apple: Apple devices must have an operating system version of 12.0 or higher, and Safari or Google Chrome set as the device’s default browser.
- Computer: You can also use a laptop or desktop computer that has a webcam, microphone, and the Google Chrome or Safari browser installed. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are NOT supported browsers for video calls. To access the app from a computer, click on the link in your invitation email.
Internet
You will need a reliable internet connection during your appointment. Data rates may apply if not connected to Wi-Fi. To determine if your Wi-Fi is acceptable for video visits, go to www.bandwidthplace.com and press the Start button to run a speed test. If your download speed is at least 3 Mbps and upload speed is at least 1 Mbps, your internet connection is acceptable for video visits

What to Expect After Your Appointment is Scheduled
Check Your Email and Text Messages
You will receive a confirmation email from CHAS Health a few minutes after your video visit appointment is scheduled. You will also receive reminder emails and text messages 24 hours and 2 hours prior to the time of your visit.
Preparing for Your Visit
1. Ten minutes before your appointment, open the 24 or 2-hour CHAS Health reminder email or text message and click on the link.
2. You will be asked to confirm your date of birth.
3. Complete digital check-in tasks.
Join Your Provider
- When ready, click on the Play icon, then the Start video call here
- When prompted, Allow access to our camera and microphone.
- You will then be connected to your appointment, and a care team member will join you shortly.

A video uses secure online technology to let you have a doctor's appointment from home. Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling CHAS Health.
Yes, video visits are secure, private, and meet legal and technological requirements for confidential health information. You can trust the privacy of your video visit with your provider. To protect privacy on your side of the video call, make sure to access the video visit from a private location, such as your home.
Yes, video visits are appropriate for patients of all ages. From children to adults, we are here for you through all phases of life to help you stay healthy.
Most major insurance companies have some telehealth benefits. Cost-sharing still applies in most situations. Co-insurance and copayments are the same as if you were attending an in-person visit.
If you are uninsured or your insurance does not offer a telehealth benefit, CHAS Health offers a sliding fee discount program based on income and family size. Call and speak with our Patient Resources department for help applying for our sliding fee discount program and determining eligibility for discounted services.
