Spokane Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Timothy Crum MD to our Pediatric practice beginning October 31st, 2022. Dr. Crum is coming to us part-time after a 30-year, full time career in Pediatrics with the Rockwood Clinic.
Dr. Crum was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho and after graduating from Lewiston High School, Dr. Crum attended the University of Idaho graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology. From there, Dr Crum attended Creighton University School of Medicine, again graduating Cum Laude in May 1985 with a Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Denver and the University of Colorado School of Medicine were Dr. Crum’s next stop, spending three years there in Pediatric residency. In Denver, Dr. Crum met his lovely and now dear departed wife of 33 years, Karen.
After completing his Pediatric residency, Dr. Crum proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as Pediatrician at Edwards Air Force Base, achieving the rank of Major and the position of Chief of Pediatrics (1989-1991). After leaving the Air Force, Dr. Crum and his wife moved to Spokane where Dr. Crum served as staff Pediatrician at the Rockwood Clinic. At Rockwood, Dr. Crum served four years on the Board of Directors and spent 7 years working as Primary Investigator within the Rockwood Clinic Research Department helping pharmaceutical companies develop 10 pediatric vaccines and 3 infant formulas. In March 2020, Dr. Crum was certified by the Washington State Health Care authority as a “Center of Excellence” in the diagnosis and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
While living in Spokane, Dr. Crum and his wife successfully raised two boys and two girls to adulthood. In July 2021, Dr. Crum retired from the Rockwood Clinic to care for his ailing wife Karen, who quietly passed away from ALS, November 2021. Dr. Crum now returns to Pediatrics part-time bringing with him 35 years of Pediatric experience and expertise. Dr. Crum enjoys seeing patients for Well Child Care, ADHD, asthma, autism, anxiety, depression, sports medicine, concussions, minor acute illness, and sports related injuries.
