About Us
The CHAS Health Foundation was established in 2020 to further the mission of CHAS Health: providing quality care to everyone, regardless of insurance status. Recognizing that many patients face challenges beyond the exam room, the Foundation was created to address critical gaps in care and support the overall wellbeing of our communities.
What We Do
The Foundation provides direct assistance to patients by covering costs for specialty services such as oral surgery, lab work, imaging, medical equipment, eyeglasses, and oral hygiene supplies. We also support CHAS Health-run programs that serve vulnerable populations, including respite beds, cooking classes, wellness initiatives, senior center memberships, and school-based health centers. Through these efforts, we help ensure that every patient has access to the resources they need to thrive.

When the CHAS Health Foundation was created in 2020, we envisioned a unique structure that would allow community members to support the mission of CHAS Health through philanthropic donations as well as creating a mechanism to strengthen the impact of CHAS Health by investing in patients, staff, partners, and the broader community.
Over the last four years the Foundation has grown on both fronts. We now have programs supporting direct patient needs, access for patients to important oral surgery care that is outside the CHAS Health scope, support for community programs that meet the needs of our patients, and the Employee Emergency Fund, which assists CHAS Health staff facing unexpected financial hardships.
