Kemunto Kakumba, MD

Dr. Kakumba comes to CHAS Health with 19 years of experience in urgent and primary care medicine, mostly recently in Urgent Care Medicine. Born and raised in Kenya, Dr. Kakumba has lived in different parts of the world, including Scotland and England, in her childhood. As an adult, she moved to the US to complete her university education in Massachusetts, then medical school at Loma Linda University in southern California, and residency training at Inspira Family Medicine Residency program in south New Jersey. She has been a Washington state resident for the past 19 years and enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Kakumba is married with two children and one dog. She enjoys meeting people, traveling, making music, spending time with her family, going on mission projects, and seeing more of the natural Pacific Northwest. She is an accomplished pianist and delights in composing, arranging, and playing music. She once played in a jazz band for a couple of years. She is also attempting to learn to play the cello. Dr.Kakumba looks forward to serving many as an Urgent Care physician in CHAS Health clinics.
