Dr. Caquias bases her therapeutic approach on the biopsychosocial model that focuses on holistic care utilizing evidence-based therapies for treatment. Dr. Caquias facilitates the therapeutic process of working with the patients as an expert on themselves, promoting opportunities to seek and find more permanent and relevant alternatives.

She was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in a small rural community. She grew up with animals, big trees, creeks to swim and play, and a huge, loud family. Hilda is married with a blended family of four adult children, two grandchildren, and a fur baby. When not working, she explores Washington, travels to see her children or anywhere with her husband and fur baby, cooks, reads, hikes, or just chills by a lake.
