Medicare Annual Election Period, also known as Medicare Open Enrollment, is upon us for the upcoming 2021 year! If you want to change your Medicare Advantage plan or Medicare prescription drug plan, this is the time. It is also a great time to review if you are eligible for other programs that could save you money on Medicare premiums or prescription drug costs. Changes made during this time will be effective on January 1, 2021.
You can save money on out-of-pocket healthcare costs by making sure your medical providers are in-network with your insurance. For a complete list of Medicare Advantage plans currently accepted by CHAS Health, be sure to check our insurance and payment page. CHAS Health also takes original Medicare.
To see if you may be eligible for additional Medicare cost-saving programs, contact a CHAS Health Patient Services Coordinator at 509-444-8200. Help is available over the phone or in person.
Need help reviewing your options? Check out the Medicare enrollment events calendar below. You can also call the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) at 1-800-562-6900 for free and unbiased assistance with Medicare questions. Be sure to check-out their full calendar of Medicare Open Enrollment Events for Spokane and Whitman County.
Cindy Hogberg from Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) will be hosting several informational seminars to educate the public about Medicare options and how to proceed with enrollment. The dates and locations are below:
On select days, CHPW and Inland Empire Insurance agents will be at CHAS Health clinics to assist our patients. These walk-in hours give agents the opportunity to discuss their plans and help patients enroll if the patient decides to do so.
