When Survivors Give Birth training in Seattle, to better support women who have experienced sexual trauma and abuse during their pregnancies and births. The first births I ever attended were in an out of hospital setting in El Paso, TX. Before that I studied marine biology in the Caribbean and got to scuba dive a lot until I got the bends, decompression sickness. Not fun.
Interesting place(s) you have caught a baby
Well, I can’t think of anything in particular. I do think it’s unique that I have experienced kind of “the spectrum” of birth experiences myself-from a cabin in the woods to a C-section in the hospital! I can’t think of anything else.
I play the violin and I’ve played with the Gonzaga symphony a few times. My daughter also plays the violin now which is fun. My husband plays electric guitar in a very loud band and my son, who is in college, plays a little guitar.
Over 500 babies—I don’t really know though because I’m not counting
