What is Telehealth?
CHAS Health’s mission statement is to improve the overall health of the communities we serve by expanding access to quality health and wellness services. Telehealth helps us accomplish this goal and uses electronic devices to connect patients with healthcare providers from remote locations. This allows patients to use a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop computer to meet with their doctor in the comfort of their own home. If video visits are unavailable, providers can sometimes use a traditional telephone to meet with patients.
How Does Telehealth Work?
CHAS Health offers several types of telemedicine services to its patients using the CHAS Health App. This app can be used to schedule video visits for medical and behavioral health, Established patients can call CHAS Health to enroll in our telehealth program and will receive an email invitation to log in. Patients can use a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or telephone to meet with their provider.
Medical & Behavioral Health Video Visits
Established CHAS Health patients can request a video visit with their doctor or provider. Occasionally, patients need to meet with a provider but run into obstacles such as transportation, childcare, or quarantine. Online doctor visits help connect medical care to patients, wherever they happen to be. These flexible visits also work well for patients that experience anxiety or feel more comfortable in their own home.
