Rhonda Kidney graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a master’s degree in community counseling. After graduation, she was afforded the opportunity to work in the correctional system providing mental health services to incarcerated individuals. Through this opportunity, Rhonda began working with many individuals that had experienced substance use and some with traumatic personal histories.
She was afforded the opportunity to attend training on child development and play therapy, which incorporated her undergraduate degree in elementary education with an emphasis on early childhood development. Rhonda has been able to work in the community periodically as well and have worked with children, adults and families and assisted individuals with addressing mental health and substance abuse issues.
